This course is geared towards persons involved in the treatment of injured rugby players such as stand-by medical personnel, coaches, referees & parents.

  • Becoming a rugby medic
  • Equipment orientation & operation
  • Mechanism of injury
  • Primary survey
  • Secondary survey
  • CPR
  • Cervical spine injuries (spinal immobilisation)
  • Head injuries (unconsciousness & concussion)
  • Bleeding
  • Fractures & dislocations
  • Soft tissue injuries
  • Sprains & strains
